A book in hand

Little Charm,

You’ve been doing a fine job in getting your needs known more and more by expressing yourself verbally.  To name a few:

• a-ya?         other one (referring to nursing and wanting to change to the other breast)
• eye            eye
• eye ear      (you cannot yet express the “r” sound)
• tan ya        thank you.  This occasionally comes unprompted from you after receiving something.  It is truly magical to hear!

One object that gives you comfort is books.  In the middle of the night, when you awake and daddy goes to check on you, he’ll often find you by the door with a book in hand.  Or when I go in your room in the morning, I’ll often find a book in your bed.

So far, we haven’t had a snowy winter though we’ve had some snow.  You absolutely love walking in the snow with your little boots.  You find the substance enchanting!
