Dear Maya,<\/p>\n

We have much of your art work hanging on the walls of the house.\u00a0 Yesterday, you had a pen in hand and started writing on a piece of your art that you created last year.\u00a0 It was a very innocent act, yet I over reacted and yelled at you to stop.\u00a0 I really hurt your feelings.\u00a0 I had to wait for a while after your tears drained.<\/p>\n

We took a tub together; at that time I was able to peacefully explain to you what was going on for me. I was wrong to yell.\u00a0 I explained to you that was something that you did when you were four.\u00a0 You were only four once.\u00a0 I love the work you did when you were four.\u00a0 I love the work you do when you are five.\u00a0 You listened to me.\u00a0 I continued, \u201cMaya, I loved you before you were born and in my belly.\u00a0 I loved you when you came out.\u00a0 I loved you when you were a baby (motioning rocking); I loved you when you were one\u2026I love you now.\u00a0 I\u2019ll love you when you will be a teenager.\u00a0 I\u2019ll love you when you\u2019ll be a grown up too.\u201d<\/p>\n

You listened intently.\u00a0 You then responded, \u201cMommy, I loved you when I was in your belly AND you were in your mother\u2019s belly.\u00a0 And mommy, I will love you when I\u2019m in my grave.\u201d\u00a0 Maya, I\u2019m beside myself. You took this very concrete concept and brought it to a completely different dimension.\u00a0 Are you a Buddha?\u00a0 Some sort of divine guru?\u00a0 This response from a five year old girl just blew me away.<\/p>\n

I continue to be blessed to share this journey with you.<\/p>\n
