Dear Maya,<\/p>\n

You are growing into your 13. I\u2019m not sure what that means, but I\u2019m witnessing it.\u00a0 Perhaps it means that you are more comfortable in finding yourself, the Maya that you\u2019ve been with until now and at the same time, stretching and being more grown up.\u00a0 Before that, I think you wanted to shed the \u201cold Maya\u201d and push anything\/anyone away that reminded you of her.\u00a0 Now, you are dressing in clothes that are more form fitting.\u00a0 You straighten your hair and you wear make-up daily.\u00a0 You have been kinder to me.\u00a0 That is more than welcome!<\/p>\n

We recently went on an amazing journey (both together and apart). We participated in the Mothering and Daughtering <\/a>Workshop at Omega offered by Sil and Eliza Reynolds. You resisted going.\u00a0 I gave it to you as part of your birthday present and you claimed that it was really for me.\u00a0 I felt it was really for us.<\/p>\n

As it turns out, you enjoyed it thoroughly. We commuted, rather than stay as overnight guests.\u00a0 When it was time to leave at the end of the day, you wanted to stay as late as possible.\u00a0 What is even more exciting is that Eliza invited you to be an assistant of hers.\u00a0 That means you need to be trained.\u00a0 So that means that you and I get to go to more of these workshops (and stay overnight for free)!<\/p>\n

Eliza really saw something in you. She got it; she got you!\u00a0 When the daughters were off and separate from the mothers, she would do some presenting.\u00a0 All of the girls would discuss and share relevant, meaningful words.\u00a0 Then along comes YOU.\u00a0 You offered sparkly pearls of wisdom.\u00a0 Eliza said that you would take each discussion to another level.\u00a0 Why am I not surprised?<\/p>\n

Anyway, what a gift. A true gift for us both.\u00a0 Not only do we get to do these workshops, but we get to practice the good work in between.\u00a0 There were wonderful aspects of the teachings:<\/p>\n
