Driving you home from school last week, we were talking about your friends.\u00a0 I moved the conversation to me, and here is how it went:<\/p>\n

E: Do you know that I have friends too?<\/p>\n

M: Yes.<\/p>\n

E: Can you tell me who my friends are?<\/p>\n

M: Cindy.<\/p>\n

E: Yes!\u00a0 She is my friend!\u00a0 Can you think of anyone else?<\/p>\n

M: Jody.<\/p>\n

E: Well Aunt Jody is very special but she is not just a friend\u2026she is my sister.\u00a0 Do you know how she is my sister?<\/p>\n

M: No.<\/p>\n

E: Her parents are the same as my parents.<\/p>\n

M: You mean like you\u2019re family?<\/p>\n

E: YES!\u00a0 Maya, you are amazing!<\/p>\n

M: Mom, I made a good observation.<\/p>\n

Now\u2026THIS blew me away.\u00a0 Observation!?!<\/p>\n

You have really learned so much in kindergarten already!<\/p>\n

Today, as we were walking out of a friend\u2019s house, you noticed an empty water bottle on the grass.\u00a0 You kicked it in disgust and said, \u201cThey glitter over here\u201d.<\/p>\n

Now I decided not to correct you\u2026it was too adorable.\u00a0 If you can use, \u201cobservation\u201d\u00a0appropriately, then I\u2019ll embrace \u201cglitter\u201d for now.<\/p>\n
