Dear Maya,<\/p>\n

Thankfully, the antibiotics have kicked in.\u00a0 It seems as if you\u2019re over the hump and can see the light now.\u00a0 But it was rough getting there!\u00a0 You got worse before you got better.\u00a0 Much fatigue.\u00a0 One night while practicing piano, I witnessed you jump from a pain in your head.\u00a0 That same night, you told me of purple swirly spots you were seeing.\u00a0 That was it!\u00a0 The next day we went to the doctor.\u00a0 She actually said that this happens and that we should continue with the full course of antibiotics and then see.\u00a0 Sure enough, she was right.<\/p>\n

I had asked you,\u00a0Maya, if there was anything I could do to to help you.\u00a0 You responded by saying, \u201cjust continue to be you.\u201d\u00a0 You paused for a moment then added, \u201cand be by my side.\u201d\u00a0 Oh my darling, you know how to get me all choked up!\u00a0 And you\u2019ve got it, babe!<\/p>\n
