Dear Maya,<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a month full of laughs.\u00a0 We went camping on Cape Cod.\u00a0 So many new concepts for you to assimilate in this developmental stage.\u00a0 Before, we had planned on \u201cthe trip\u201d and \u201cthe vacation,\u201d words that you didn\u2019t fully comprehend.\u00a0 And then there was \u201ccamping\u201d on \u201cCape Cod\u201d which also were hard to grasp.\u00a0 But ultimately, when we were there, it all came together for you.\u00a0 You had a blast.\u00a0 You loved the freedom.\u00a0 And being with family 24\/7 was amazing!<\/p>\n

I had such fun witnessing you play in the sand.\u00a0 You\u2019d be so content with a plastic water bottle and pebbles.\u00a0 One by one, putting them in the opening of the bottle.\u00a0 Some fit, some did not.\u00a0 That\u2019s what life was all about for you.\u00a0 So<\/u> in the moment!\u00a0 I certainly can learn a lesson or two from you in this domain!<\/p>\n

At the campground, at one time you were playing in daddy\u2019s car.\u00a0 The window was down and you had attempted to climb out.\u00a0 When you realized you couldn\u2019t on your own, you called out to us, \u201ccan somebody please give me a handful?\u201d\u00a0 Daddy and I were in stitches laughing.\u00a0 You used the idiom practically so appropriately.\u00a0 What a little sweetheart.<\/p>\n

We are now back home with a boy, Rashid.\u00a0 He is a child from Brooklyn and came to us through the Fresh Air Fund.\u00a0 He is very caring towards you.\u00a0 We\u2019ve been doing many fun things exposing him to the culture of the country.\u00a0 Yesterday we went to Skytop via the Lemon Squeeze.\u00a0 It is incredible what a climber you are.\u00a0 Your strength, balance, agility and poise are remarkable.\u00a0 You\u2019ve got amazing stamina and energy.\u00a0 These are some of your gifts.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know if they\u2019ll be with you always, but for now, it\u2019s daunting!\u00a0 Less than 3, and you were up the Lemon Squeeze (including the rock scramble to get there) with hardly any help.\u00a0 I\u2019m glad to be able to provide such opportunities for you.<\/p>\n

We signed you up for Ballet Class, come September.\u00a0 This may be one outlet for you and maybe not (I haven\u2019t personally bought into this idea, but we\u2019ll see).<\/p>\n
