Something is shifting inside of you.\u00a0 You have decided to let your hair grow out. You bought (fake) Uggs and they just didn\u2019t work with the pants you normally wear.<\/p>\n

I offered to buy you skinny jeans and you agreed.\u00a0 In fact, I bought a second pair for you and you were very happy. \u00a0You said that you even wanted more.\u00a0 And most recently, you asked about padded bras (not to make you look bigger, just for support).\u00a0 We will go shopping soon.<\/p>\n

Dear Maya,<\/p>\n

Well, we went shopping indeed.\u00a0 We didn\u2019t get more bras as mentioned in my last entry.\u00a0 But we got a stack of camis and quite an assortment of shirts and pants that are completely changing your image.<\/p>\n

Some of the styles are very form fitting with bright colors.\u00a0 Others are looser, but have a very nice, flowing quality to their fabric.\u00a0 None are frilly with sparkles, hearts or pink.\u00a0 But they all have a certain stamp of \u201cMaya as a beautiful, developing teenage girl.\u201d \u00a0And that you are!\u00a0 You are finding and defining a new you.\u00a0 For me, it is exciting to witness and support.\u00a0 It is also clear that while you are finding a way to express yourself through your clothes, you don\u2019t want to just become one of the pack.\u00a0 I respect that you care very much about being true to yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n
