I\u00a0was up for a good part of the night and I had quite an extraordinary experience in the wee hours.\u00a0 I went back to a year ago.\u00a0 Actually, a year ago this coming weekend.\u00a0 Maya and I took time together, just the two of us to be on an adventure in and around Provincetown.\u00a0 During the hours in which I was trying to get back to sleep, I revisited each moment from last year\u2019s journey.\u00a0 I could really practically feel it.<\/p>\n

It was if the conversations, the looks, the laughs, the movements, the choices we made were all deeply imprinted in my being.\u00a0 This is a weekend that I didn\u2019t journal about.\u00a0 I did not have that chance to.\u00a0 But the movie we saw, the moon-rise we witnessed, the seals we marveled at, the hours of teaching\/ learning to long board, rocks we hopped, meals we ate, puns we created, shops we wandered, food shows we watched on T.V., miles on the road we journeyed, talks we had about Maya\u2019s future, are so very embedded.<\/p>\n

I spoke with a friend about this experience earlier.\u00a0 There is something to be said about being very present and in the moment.\u00a0 In the moment, I cherished those moments with Maya.\u00a0 And now, I still do cherish those moments.\u00a0 I guess that is ultimately what we have.\u00a0 The moment.<\/p>\n
